Below is the list of channels where you can publish affiliate links legally. I will explain how and where to add these affiliate links to Increase affiliate income. If you use them wisely and follow me them I’m sure you will see results very soon. You will also learn about the tools you can use to promote affiliate links on multiple social media channels. Let’s move on and learn about them one by one –

1. Blog/Website

The most accessible tool when thinking of mentioning products via affiliate links is your own blog or website.  A blog is an important space for producing and publishing affiliate links. This is the place where you can create affiliate links in the blog post & increase affiliate income.

Here are 4 ways that you can use effectively to add affiliate links in your blog:

1) Automatically turn any direct links to advertisers into affiliate links. The tool that you can use to automatically convert any link into affiliate links is

  1. Viglink plugin – Automate Affiliate Marketing by installing this plugin. Before you can use this, join Viglink and create an account here. This is the best tool to monetize links & increase affiliate income & sales.

2) Via text links in your blog posts. To manage your affiliate links at one place and increase affiliate income you may use this plugin.

  1. Thirsty Affiliate Affiliate Marketing Links Management Tool for WordPress. Highly recommended.

3) Via creating a comparisons charts between products or prices in your blog posts.

4) Via banners, content widgets or other pieces of creative on your blog.

2. INSTAGRAM

When using affiliate links on Instagram you can –

  1. Add links to your bio, in the captions of the pictures you post or via Instashop.
  2. Instashop allows you to link straight through to advertisers or products (which has the added advantage of being easily disclosed).
  3. You can also consider shortening the links to make them look more attractive (for example, using bit.ly).
  4. Use hashtags carefully as good hashtags help you picked up on a trend, whereas overuse can keep you unnoticed.

Personal Recommendation: A very good tool which I use on my Instagram is LinkInProfile. When you use the links on your Instagram post, it automatically publishes the image to your LinkInProfile page and links it to the URL you specify in your Instagram post.

3. FACEBOOK

With Facebook, you can add –

  1. Affiliate links to your posts or on your page,
  2. Buttons containing affiliate links on your page (for example, a ‘shop now’ button).
  3. Affiliate links to Facebook groups owned by others (you must be relevant and not spammy when doing this).

There are a number of factors to consider when using Facebook, which depends on the nature of what you are posting. For example, if you are posting deal focused pages then they will have lots of links and offers. In this case, you will need to refresh your content more frequently, however, if you post content focused pages then they will be more detailed and you will need to refresh them less frequently.

4. TWITTER

To monetize your Twitter offering, you can add affiliate links into your tweets linking to your website or product page. Using your Twitter in this way will depend on the reason for having a Twitter account, but more often than not it would be a case of simply selecting an advertiser or product to feature in your tweet.

5. YOUTUBE

Putting links into the description of your videos is a great way to incorporate affiliate marketing into your page. If you want to build on this, remember you can also add links within the video content itself.

Be careful that the links should relate to the content of the video They should also be mentioned in the video if it is featured in the description.

For example “click on the link in our description to see this product for yourself”. To highlight specific products during a certain time of your video, you can use video overlaying services such as taggled & Camtasia for video creation.

6. SNAPCHAT

Although one of the fastest growing social media channels, affiliate links are yet to be utilized in Snapchat – in fact, no type of link can. However, the channel can still be used as a tool to accompany your site as it’s a great tool to generate interest. You can use Snapchat to keep users up to date with live events, products, tools etc you are involved in, for example taking people ‘behind the scenes’ of your blog/site or to raise awareness of new blog posts where they can then find the affiliate links.

7. GOOGLE+

When looking to add affiliate links to your Google+ page, simply use the “add link” button which enables you to add the affiliate links with the post itself. With the “add link” button the links carry an SEO benefit while those added within posts tend to automatically be “no follow”. In terms of affiliate links this is irrelevant since they get ignored but a useful tip none the less.

8. PINTEREST

In May-June 2016,  the ban had been lifted on affiliate activity via Pinterest, it’s an exciting chance to benefit from that channel now. There are a variety of ways which you can publish your affiliate links – for example, you’re able to insert your affiliate links on existing personal boards, create new boards purely focused on affiliate products or post affiliate links to existing group boards. For more information about utilizing Pinterest, you can read “How I Effective Use Affiliate Links At Pinterest”.

9. LINKEDIN

Perhaps not an immediate channel that comes to mind when looking to insert affiliate links, LinkedIn has great potential to enhance your offering by being able to include affiliate links within our own posts which will reach all connections associated with you. You’re also able to post links within interest groups you are joined to and of course use the publications section of your LinkedIn profile to link to your latest affiliate product review posts.

10. EMAIL NEWSLETTER

One of the important responsibilities of managing a blog or a website is communicating with your readers. The most common form of communicating with them is an “Email Newsletter“. Email Newsletter is one of the best ways to your Affiliate Marketing campaign.  Chances are that your email newsletter subscribers don’t want to hear about your products and services 100% of the time. But if the content is newsworthy, relevant and serves a purpose, then it is less likely to get overlooked. All of your Email Newsletters should be relevant and timely and should be action-oriented rather than informational. Make sure that you provide enough information in the newsletter to teach your subscribers about the products you are offering and it help them to take some action.
